The demographic realities of Aboriginal people in Canada present significant opportunities for local economic and business development. Existing mining activities in Saskatchewan are also creating potential economic opportunities with future projections of mining developments alone exceeding $20 billion by 2028 in Saskatchewan. First Nations participation in these activities is critical for the future economic growth in the province. The purpose of the Saskatchewan First Nations Natural Resource Centre of Excellence (Centre of Excellence) Enterprise Development activities will focus on initiatives that increases revenues and commercial use of First Nations lands, facilitate partnerships and provide quality goods and services for Industry.
